Man fails to return home after four day trip

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 30-year-old man missing from the Bromley area.

David Hopkins was last seen leaving his home on Kimberley Road, Beckenham, on 23 September, to go on a four day trip with a friend but failed to return home.

David is 6ft tall, of slim build, with short dyed black hair and hazel coloured eyes. He's also known to his friends as Jamie Hooper.

Burglars escape on a moped with safe full of gold

Burglars have made off on the back of a moped carrying a safe containing £2,000 worth of jewellery. The silver moped made off from a property in Park Road in Beckenham on 28th July. The safe contained Indian 24ct gold necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

DS Stuart Roberts, of the Burglary Squad said:

"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Park Road, Beckenham at around 1130hrs on 28 July and saw two men carrying a box or safe away from an address. "If you saw anything, please contact the Burglary Squad at Bromley on 0208 284 9967."

Two teenagers from Beckenham have created a social media site which they hope will help to combat youth unemployment. provides information on local job opportunities, work experience and volunteering.

It's the brainchild of 18-year-olds Eduard Payne and Rasheed Rollins.
