For the first time in thirty years a circus show will perform on a West End stage when Cirque Berserk opens at the Peacock Theatre on Monday.
Cirque Berserk features an international cast as well as British acts. Including aerial trapeze artist Jackie Armstrong who performs without a harness or safety net.
The act features more than thirty acrobats, jugglers, drummers, dancers, stunt-men, and, of course, clowns. And the troupe will live in their caravans while playing on the West End stage.
Piccadilly Circus was transformed today into a real circus. The area around the statue of Eros was packed with performers entertaining the crowds. Carolyn Sim reports.
