A beautiful wildlife garden has officially been opened in east London.
The new garden features a unique Willow Dome structure, minibeast habitats and a wildlife container gardening area.
It is designed to give visitors attractive examples of how to make their own gardens friendlier for different kinds of wildlife, even with limited space. Visitors can also enjoy thriving butterfly, bee and chalk meadows and a dragonfly earth sculpture.
The Lee Valley Summer Wildlife Carnival is taking place at the garden from 10am until 4pm today. It is the culmination of months of hard work by volunteers and community groups at the WaterWorks Nature Reserve to create the garden for everyone to enjoy.
