Man found guilty of sexual assault on bus

A man who constantly rubbed himself up against a woman on a bus in Westminster has been found guilty of sexual assault.

Shah Ahmed, 34, of Ethel Road, E16 was found guilty on 8th October following a two day trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The incident happened at 1am on 27th October 2013 on a N25 bus travelling along Oxford Street.

The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was travelling home from a night out when Ahmed sexually assaulted her.

She got off the bus and reported the incident to police.

Ahmed was identified using CCTV footage from the bus. He was arrested on in November 2013 and charged with sexual assault in January this year.

Ahmed has been bailed to re-attend Snaresbrook Crown Court for sentencing on 1st December 2014.

Police appeal for help to find missing man from Westminster

The Met Police has appealed for help to find an 82 year-old man who has gone missing from his home in Westminster. Neville Leon Quarless was last seen on Wednesday evening.

He suffers from dementia and will be confused. Anyone who has seen him is asked to call Westminster police on 101.


Woman missing from Westminster hospital

A woman has disappeared from a hospital in Westminster.

Samantha Smith-Clark was last seen leaving St Mary's Hospital on Thursday.

The 30-year-old is described as wearing a black bomber-style jacket with red detail, pink T-shirt, light blue denim jeans and flat black shoes.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen her to contact them.
