Boris Johnson presented the Queen with her own special edition Jubilee Oyster card at Buckingham Palace today.

The Mayor of London was taking part in a ceremony that forms part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, where representatives of various organisations make a formal address to the Queen.

The Greater London Authority is one of 27 Privileged Bodies which have the ancient right of presenting Loyal Addresses to the Sovereign to mark significant royal anniversaries.

All of the institutions represent organisations, town and cities with strong connections to the monarchy.
