Police have appealed for information to help find a man who carried out a random attack on a woman in Herne Hill last year. The incident took place on Wednesday 29 February 2012 and the victim was left with serious head injuries.
The attacker cycled up behind the woman and punched her repeatedly in the head. She spent two months in hospital and a section of the left side of her skull was removed and a titanium plate fitted in June this year. She is yet to return to work.
The suspect continued cycling along the pavement before punching a 46-year-old man who was also walking on the pavement.
The suspect is described as black, wearing a long dark coat and riding a mountain bike.
