Arrests made after racist football tweets

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of inciting racial hatred following comments made on Twitter after the Tottenham Hotspur versus West Ham United match on 6th October.

Police say the tweets were of an anti-Semitic nature and made reference to Hitler and the gas chambers.

A separate investigation last month also dealt with anti-Semitic tweets relating to the same match. A 55-year-old man was cautioned on for malicious communications.
