London commemorates WW1 100 years on

London will join in a series of commemorative events on August 4 to mark 100 years since the country declared war on Germany and entered the First World War.

The Great War Centenary Parade through London

The Great War Centenary Parade takes place through London today - a procession of more than 40 Edwardian cars - all of which would have been on the road during the First World War. Prince Michael of Kent and 50 Chelsea Pensioners will take part in the event.
