Thames Water has issued a statement apologising for the disruption caused by a burst water main in Ealing. An estimated 4000 homes and around 30 businesses have been affected.
Here is the statement in full:
"A 30” water main burst in Ealing around 7.30 this morning. This has shut The Broadway at the junction with The Mall.
"Engineers are rerouting water around the network but an issue with a pumping station has hampered our efforts to restore water to the affected customers
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience and are working to get this fixed as quickly as possible."
The unlicensed events unfolded on Saturday night at Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common.
A 37 year old man who was taken to hospital after getting into difficulty in a stretch of water near Maidenhead has died.
Jonty Bravery, who is mentally ill, has been jailed for 15 years after throwing a six year old boy from the Tate modern balcony.
