Sisters show their solidarity

A huge picnic on the 'Knitted Together' blanket will take place this afternoon in Clissold Park. It is part of the Shoreditch Sister and Women for Refugee Women campaign organised by the Women's Institute.

The event has been put on to show support for all the female asylum seekers being detained in Yarlswood.

They'll be an array of activities including live music, refreshments, self defence classes and human sized games

The event will run from 11am-3pm in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington.
