£120,000 copper theft in Essex

Essex Police have released a photograph of a truck they want to trace in connection with the theft of £120,000 of copper from a dock at Purfleet.

The vehicle in the picture is believed to have been used to tow away the 27-ton load of copper rod at Purfleet Thames Terminal.

The copper, in six-ton coils and loaded on a box trailer, should have been delivered to a company on the South Coast but it failed to arrive.
