Parade and SeaCity opening

A special Titanic parade marked the opening of the SeaCity Museum

More than 1,000 schoolchildren have been taking part in a procession to remember those who died in the Titanic disaster. The parade in Southampton marked both 100 years since the ship set off on her fateful voyage from Southampton, and the opening of the city's new SeaCity Museum which marks the area's links with the Titanic and her story.

The Olympic rower James Cracknell performed the opening ceremony with two young assistants.
