Footballer sues Gillingham FC - claiming racial discrimination

Mark McCammon was a striker at Gillingham Football Club

A black footballer who says he was a victim of racial discrimination has taken his case to an employment tribunal.

Mark McCammon was a striker at Gillingham Football Club. He claims he - and other black players there - were treated differently from white players.

He is suing his former club for discrimination, breach of contract, unfair dismissal and failure of his former employer to pay him. The club denies all allegations. The case continues. John Ryall has our report.
