Sussex police say that a fire which seriously damaged five businesses in four buildings on Uckfield High Street overnight was started deliberately.

Church Street and the High Street remain closed this morning as shop owners assess the damage to their businesses.

It's understood that the fire was started in a bin behind the Sense Charity Shop.
