Minibus driver found not guilty after death crash

A minibus driver was today found not guilty of causing death by driving without due care and attention following a collision in Southampton in which a cyclist was killed. The death of David Irving (pictured) was a complex case and prompted a thorough investigation by the Road Death Investigation team.

The 48-year-old from Dorset was in collision with a minibus on Mountbatten Way on December 17, 2012.

The bus driver was charged to appear in court. The driver of a Mercedes Coupe, also arrested at the time, was released with no further action.
