The impact of winter pressures on A&Edepartments will be the focus of a meeting in West Sussex later.
The Health and Adult Social Care SelectCommittee will look at the impact of winter pressures on local A&Es andother health services.
It will ask for an update on how the NHS andsocial care services have been working together to address recent pressures andwhat the causes have been.
The meeting will also hear how the CountyCouncil is preparing for the Care Act, the most significant social care reform in sixty years.
The changes are designed to help people planfor the future and put people more in control of the help they receive, havemore control over their care and support and remain independent for as long aspossible.
The County Council is consulting on some aspectsof the changes which can be decided locally.
The meeting on Wednesday 21 January will startat 10.30am, at County Hall in Chichester.
