A woman cracked her tooth when she bit into a metal nut in her takeaway pizza.

Bella Peppiatt had ordered the vegetarian pizza from her local branch of Domino's in Station Road, Tilehurst, Berkshire.

When I bit into it I could taste metal and I cracked my tooth. It was really painful.

When I looked in the pizza I was shocked to find a metal nut inside it. It was disgusting.

I shouted at my kids to stop eating it. It could have been them who swallowed it.

Bella says she complained to the company and says she is unhappy that Domino's won't pay for any dental treatment she needs upfront.

After our investigation, unfortunately, the metal screw was found to have come loose from one of our pizza cutters.

Although this is a very rare and isolated incident, we have already been in touch with our supplier and store to ensure this does not happen again.

We'd like to send heartfelt and sincere apologies to our customer for this experience.

We have offered to reimburse her for any dental work that may result, a full refund and vouchers for future use.

Our goal is to provide the best experience every time. If we fail to do that, we will do all we can to make it right.
