Mother of 8-week-old baby stabbed on front doorstep - as she confronts youths making noise in the street

Donna Cross was stabbed on her doorstep in Chatham last Tuesday evening

A mother from Kent is recovering after being stabbed in the chest in a row about noise outside her house.

Donna Cross, who had given birth just eight weeks earlier, was attacked after tackling a group of young people who'd gathered in Southhill Road in Chatham.

Her partner Jon Stone now wants everyone to know what happened - so the culprits can be caught.

Donna Cross has now left hospital but is too scared to return home.

The police had arrested a man, who was19, in connection with the incident. But he's since been released without charge.

Jon Stone is clear how police should be treating their investigation.
