Police are making urgent appeals to locate the mother of a baby found dead in a park in Sheerness.
The infant's remains were discovered in The Broadway on Saturday afternoon, and part of the park and promenade were cordoned off while forensic teams searched the area.
Kent Police are anxious to trace the mother amid concerns for her wellbeing and physical health.
They're urging anyone who knows anything about the circumstances to come forward, and promising that any information will be handled sensitively.
The age and identity of the infant remains unknown, and officers have not yet revealed the cause of death.
The Green between St Henry and St Elizabeth Catholic Church was cordoned off as were entrances to the green from Marine Parade, the promenade and an alley next to the pool, which is part of the Sheppey Leisure Complex.
Prayers are expected to be said at the Church today.
