Man stabbed and woman injured in aggravated burglary in Gillingham

Detectives in Kent are appealing for witnesses after a man and woman were injured during an aggravated burglary in Gillingham.

Officers were called to Gardiner Street at 4.33am this morning following reports of a man found with stab injuries.

Following enquiries, officers also found an injured woman at a property in nearby Skinner Street.

The man was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance and is currently in a stable condition. The woman was treated at the scene by ambulance crews for minor injuries. Both are in their 20s.

One man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody.

Detectives remain at the scene this morning and are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information.
