Man who died in New Forest crash named

A man who died in a collision in the New Forest has been named as 72 year old David Beresford.

A grey Skoda Octavia and a white Ford Transit van were involved in a collision on the B3054 Main Road in Walhampton near Lymington in the evening on Monday 12th February.

David, who was driving the Skoda, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been told and are being supported by specialist officers.

The 39 year old male driver of the van was uninjured.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision.
