Bid to kick homophobia out of top flight football

Twenty-five years ago ITV News Meridian interviewed Justin Fashanu who was the first openly gay footballer. Sadly, a few years later, he committed suicide at the age of 37.

Twenty-five years on and the former Brighton striker is still the only gay player to have come out in top flight football. So, what has stopped others coming out? Sally Simmonds has been trying to find out.
