Firefighters in Kent have been tackling two large field fires on the Isle of Sheppey and in Rochester.
Crews have been at the scene of a large field fire in Burham Road in Rochester.
Firefighters arrived on Saturday morning to find the field of manure and straw well alight. The field is next to a large field of standing corn, so crews have been working with the landowner to stop flames spreading to the other field.
On Friday evening, a fire broke out on a field on Harty Ferry Road at Leysdown-on-sea. Firefighters worked with the landowner to manage the fire and allow it to burn in a controlled way. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire isn't known at this stage.
Both incidents follows an urgent appeal from Kent Fire and Rescue to be extremely cautious during the dry conditions and heat.
