Bank Holiday weekend weather for the west

Turning wet and windy for a time but brighter on Monday.

This Evening and Tonight: Any evening showers will soon fade away, leading to a dry night with clear spells. It will also turn chilly, especially in rural areas, with light winds. Some thicker cloud could spread into western areas around dawn. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Sunday: Some early brighter spells possible, especially in the east. Turning windy with outbreaks of rain spreading east. These heavy and persistent during the afternoon, before easing away into the evening. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Variable cloud, sunny spells and occasional showers Monday. Dry, with winds easing Tuesday, and further sunny spells. Chance of heavy showers or thunderstorms early Wednesday, clearing to brighter spells later.
