Southampton host an in-form Chelsea side on Sunday afternoon looking for their first home win of the season.

Saints have drawn two and lost one of their three home games in the league thus far, throwing away a two-goal lead against Brighton on their last outing at St. Mary's in a 2-2 draw.

Chelsea meanwhile are yet to lose this season, winning seven of their opening ten games in all competitions, though they have drawn their last two in the league against Liverpool and West Ham respectively.

The Blues recovered from two goals down to snatch a 3-2 victory in this fixture last season, with Olivier Giroud extending his good run against Southampton with two goals, his second completing the comeback.

Shane Long (toe) is still the only injury worry for Mark Hughes, and an update on the striker's fitness is expected when Hughes gives his pre-match press conference.

Chelsea have no new injury concerns, with Maurizio Sarri's side coming through their 1-0 victory in the Europa League on Thursday night unscathed.

The Blues have lost just one of their previous 11 visits to St. Mary's, winning the last three, and Sarri could become just the sixth manager to remain unbeaten in his first eight Premier League games should his side avoid defeat on Sunday.

Saints have lost the last six meetings between these two sides in all competitions, and Hughes has also tasted defeat in his last six managerial outings against Chelsea.

Giroud's two goals in the victory over Southampton last season increased his tally to five goals in his last four against Saints, and he'll be looking to mark his 200th Premier League appearance with another on Sunday.
