More than fifty firefighters were called to a blaze at a coffee warehouse and factory in Dartford at around six o'clock this morning.

The alarm was raised by an employee inside the building. On arrival the crews decided to evacuate neighbouring homes - with about fifty residents being asked to leave the area.

Ten fire engines were deployed to the scene along with two height vehicles with ladders.

People have now been allowed back home, but residents and businesses have been advised to keep all doors and windows shut because of the amount of smoke in the area. There have been no reports of any casualties. However firefighters remain at the scene.
