Nine suspected migrants have been found in a small boat close to Folkestone Harbour.

Border Force officials said they have presented themselves as Iranian nationals. It's reported, the group called police to say they were in trouble shortly after arriving on rocks near the harbour at 7:30am on Sunday morning.

HM coastguard confirmed it was assisting Border Force officers and the group have now been brought to Dover. Immigration Enforcement are now conducting a criminal investigation.

It's the latest incident that has seen more than 60 suspected migrants entering the UK via Kent this week.
