It has been 11 years in the planning, and now Berkshire's first hospice for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions has been officially opened.

The Alexander Devine Children's Hospice was opened in Maidenhead by the Prime Minister and its patron Sir Michael Parkinson - after Theresa May made a quick dash from Brussels.

The hospice will support children and their families, alongside the charity's existing home support service.
