The Home Office has confirmed that the last detainees have been removed from a controversial detention centre in Oxfordshire.
Campsfield House in Kidlington, which previously housed 200 detainees is not having its contract renewed, with the focus on the site being de-commissioned.
The closure of the centre is expected to be completed by May next year.
The MP for Oxford West and Abingdon Layla Moran says she is now pressing the Government to ensure the community in Kidlington has a say on the future of the Campsfield site.
She wants to see support offered to anyone whose job has been affected and fair treatment of detainees, while ending indefinite detention altogether.
