A 34 year-old man has been charged after two people were injured and one person was threatened on Southampton Common.
Officers were called to the scene near the Cowherds Pub just after 4.20pm on Thursday afternoon following reports of a man with a knife threatening people.
Nabil Errouam of Oxford Avenue in Southampton has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent, affray, possession of a bladed article in a public place, and threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place.
He has been remanded to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today.
Police remain at the scene on the common and are urging anyone with concerns to speak to officers.
