Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams helps aspiring actors find their big break

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, famous for her role as Arya Stark, is helping young aspiring actors make it - through a new app.

Called Daisie, it is designed to help people find jobs in the creative industries.

Maisie Williams met with aspiring actors at Chichester University Credit: ITV Meridian

The 21-year-old visited Chichester University on Friday to talk to students about her career and how she progressed in the industry.

The award-winning actress, who has also had a recurring role in Doctor Who, developed the app to help students find jobs in theatre and dance.

"The reason why I got to where I am was such a symphony of tiny little opportunities that had this huge impact on my life and really just changed everything. It was so much to do with luck and timing that it can't really be recreated.

"For someone who has studied really hard and they're fresh out of drama school or art school who have trained for this don't necessarily have what they need to take the next steps. I think that's really heartbreaking for a lot of people. It's just something I'm trying to do something about."
