Nine Mini Coopers have been set alight in a series of arson attacks in Southampton since November 21st.

The cars - which have soft-tops - have been targeted on Randolph Street, Hanley Road, Janson Road, Hinkler Road, Deacon Road, Downside Avenue, South East Road, River Walk and Belmont Road.

The most recent fire was on January 5th.

The man was captured on CCTV on December 3rd on Deacon Road in Southampton. He pulls up then gets out of a silver or light coloured Peugeot 307 estate. Minutes later a Mini, parked out of shot catches fire.

Police believe the Peugeot is a model made between 2002 and 2007.

"We are working really hard to identify this person. Arson has a huge effect on the local community, it destroys property but more importantly it puts people's lives at risk."

Police are asking if anyone know's someone who owns a silver or light coloured Peugeot 307 estate car and is often out throughout the night to contact them.
