Tonight: Breezy during the evening, ahead of a band of rain and sleet moving southeast, perhaps with snow over the highest ground. Clearer and potentially icy from the northwest towards dawn. Minimum temperature -1 deg C (30 deg F).
Tuesday: Remaining rain and sleet soon clearing with icy stretches possible early on, but otherwise bright with plenty of sunny spells, joined by scattered wintry showers into the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 deg C (43 deg F).
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Bright, cold and showery midweek, especially in the east, with fleeting snow, overnight frost and ice. Less cold but cloudier towards the weekend, with patchy rain perhaps preceded by snow.
