Network Rail will, next week, start its biggest ever project to cut delays which cause frustration for thousands of passengers in the south.

Over the next five years, a record £2 billion will be spent on routes out of Waterloo to reduce and prevent failures.The lines to Paddington will see £4 billion invested.
