Massive rail project, designed to reduce delays

Network Rail will, next week, start its biggest ever project to cut delays which cause frustration for thousands of passengers in the south.

Over the next five years, a record £2 billion will be spent on routes out of Waterloo to reduce and prevent failures.The lines to Paddington will see £4 billion invested.

Ahead of next week's launch, our Transport Correspondent Mike Pearse has been to see the work and meet the engineers hoping to make a difference.
