Detectives investigating the disappearance of an elderly woman from Oxford are appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage to help their search. Maja O'Brien, who is 78 and a flute player, was last seen by friends last Wednesday night.

It's believed she then left her home again, on her purple bike, sometime between 05:00 and 09:00 on Thursday morning. Her disappearance has been described as out of character

Investigators say there are growing increasingly concerned for Ms O'Brien's welfare now she has been missing for a week. Thames Valley Police are working with Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue in a bid to locate her.

Police are searching Ms O'Brien's home for any receipts or documents which could provide some clues as to where she might be. They say their searches - along river banks, roads, tow paths and lakes will continue.
