Volunteers' dismay at continued trolley dumping in Medway

Just a few of the dozens of trolleys dumped in the Medway at Strood

Volunteers who cleared 60 dumped supermarket trolleys out of the River Medway say they're dismayed that more have been thrown in.

Around thirty trolleys have recently been dumped in the river at Strood.

Volunteers from the campaign group "Guardians of the Deep" had only cleaned out the river in October.

It's thought around 20 thousand trollies a year are abandoned across Kent, causing a hazard for river-users and wildlife.
