Three cannabis farms found in single Canterbury street

Kent police have seized cannabis plants worth an estimated £900,000 from three properties on a single street in Canterbury.

Officers attended Old Park Avenue on Friday April 5th due to concerns raised about suspicious behaviour.

At the scene officers arrested 24 year old Ardit Tershalla, and a subsequent search of a property uncovered around 250 cannabis plants.

Some of the plants seized from an address in Old Park Avenue

Tershalla was later charged with one count of cultivating cannabis and one count of abstracting electricity. He was subsequently remanded in custody to appear at court on a later date.

While officers were in the street, concerns were raised about two nearby properties.

Warrants were obtained and each house was found to contain around 500 plants.

Enquiries remain ongoing.
