Renewed appeals for missing Oxford flute player


There are renewed appeals to find a missing flute player from Oxford who went missing two weeks ago.

78-year-old Maya O'Brien disappeared on 28th March, where it is believed she left her home in Wytham Street, between 5am and 9am.

Today (Thursday) leaflets are being handed out to the public by officers investigating her disappearance.

Her flute has a distinctive mouthpiece which is made of dark wood

Maja is around 5ft 6ins tall, of average build, with short grey hair and brown eyes.

Police believe Maja was wearing an olive coloured jacket, a red tracksuit and walking boots when she went missing.

She is believed to have her purple bicycle with her along with her flute

Officers are continuing to appeal for any CCTV or dash-cam footage from the Abingdon Road area of Oxford from Thursday 28 March between 5am and 9am.
