Single-use plastic free shop opens in Bournemouth

A shop dedicated to helping the environment has opened its doors in Westbourne in Bournemouth.

Almond & Co uses no plastic bags and produces very little waste.

The owners were inspired to open the store after encountering more and more plastic pollution while surfing locally.

"It's great to have somewhere local, where we can come and stock up and do our bit for the environment."

In Southbourne, a restaurant using the same ethos has won awards for its sustainability.

The materials to furnish Terroir, along with the packaging and produce, are sustainable meaning waste is minimal.
