Family of veteran who killed himself demand more support for troops

There are calls for the Defence Secretary to do more to protect troops following the suicide of a special forces veteran from Bognor Regis.

Danny Johnston was 35 when he went missing last year. He'd served in the Army for fourteen years and he'd been left traumatised by a tour in Afghanistan.

Danny's family has criticised the lack of support he received from the Army despite warnings about his mental health and the coroner in his inquest felt so strongly he vowed to write to the Government calling for more support for the nation's service personnel to stop ''future deaths.'

As a direct result of Danny's death, two former soldiers have set up a peer support network called All Call Signs to support soldiers mentally and emotionally scarred by conflict. They joined our presenters in the studio:
