A fundraising campaign has been launched to help restore a nursery that was destroyed in a fire near Aldershot.

A fire broke out at Hale Methodist Church in Farnham on Thursday, where Greenways Nursery School is situated inside.

Fire crews arrived to tackle the blaze which damaged the church roof and the nursery.

Seven children and three staff members were inside the building at the time but were uninjured.

Toys that were stored in sheds along the back of the nursery were destroyed in the blaze.

The daughter of the nursery manager has now set up a fundraising page to raise £2,000 towards replacing what was lost.

The money will be "spent on books, toys, learning resources and outdoor equipment".
