Firefighters have contained more than 5000 litres of multicoloured ink after it spilled onto a site in Dartford.

The alarm was raised at the Howard Hunt group premises, prompting comparisons with the children's TV show Art Attack.

Firefighters used special mats to cover nearby drains to stop the ink from contaminating the local water supply.

The cause of the leak is under investigation.

The picture has only just come to light of the incident, which happened in April.
