Baby gorilla to celebrate first birthday at wildlife park

Visitors heading to the Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve in Kent on the 25th May might just catch a glimpse of Loango - their baby gorilla whose birthday is being celebrated all day. The reserve is excited to mark such an important milestone in Loango's development.

Lovely little Loango is a firm favourite in the family group at Palace of the Apes and his antics captivate our visitors, as he learns to take his first steps andtries to instigate play with his older siblings. We thought it would be a lovely idea to throw a first birthday party.

Visitors heading to the park will have the opportunity to make birthday cards for Loango. They will be displayed in the Conservation Station. Whilst guests eat birthday cake, Loango will be given a gorilla-friendly version by keepers.
