New figures show that the number of people of cycling in the South is at its highest for three years. But, with growing popularity, come concerns about their safety around other road users.
In 2016 there were 516 million miles pedalled in the South East. That rose to 547 million miles in 2017. And last year, the figure was even higher at 559 million miles.
Road safety experts have launched a campaign to try to make cyclists and drivers more aware of each other. Malcolm Shaw reports from Brighton.
