UK Weather forecast: Showers dying away to leave a dry night across the Meridian region ahead of a sunny Friday

Rest of today and tonight: Most showers will clear with some late sunshine for most. Then largely dry overnight with clear spells. Temperatures will fall to single figures in rural areas with light winds. Minimum temperature 7 deg C (45 deg F).

Friday: Dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. A warm feeling afternoon is forecast inland with light winds, but a little fresher near some coasts where onshore breezes develop. Maximum temperature 22 deg C (72 deg F).

Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Dry, warm, occasionally sunny on Saturday, and Sunday morning. Very warm inland Sunday afternoon, with fresher coastal winds. Thundery rain or showers will spread northwards later Sunday and through Monday.
