Medics get crucial emergency response training at scene of fake crash

A car has crashed into a wall in Oxford, with multiple casualties. Nurses and paramedics must now deal with the situation as best they can, whatever comes their way.

This is a realistic simulation, set up to give the medics a challenge, in the event of a real life emergency response.

Cary Johnston has been to Oxford Brookes University, where the fake car accident was staged for the British Association of Critical Care Nurses, with students playing the role of injured pedestrians.
