Why do A Levels get all the glory? Calls for more recognition for other qualifications too

More than a quarter of a million teenagers will be the centre of attention when they receive their A Level results.

But hundreds of thousands of other young people who take professional and vocational qualifications get little public recognition for all THEIR hard work by comparison.

Lots have been receiving their results in recent weeks - results that not only enable many students to successfully move onto University - but into apprenticeships OR work.

Chantelle Taylor says studying for a diploma in media at Fareham College has changed her life.

Other students are celebrating their vocational qualification results too.

But those like Miles Wellesley-Davies, who studied at Eastleigh College, say vocational qualifications aren't given the recognition they deserve.
