Friends and family of a kiteboarder who was killed on the Isle of Wight say he will be remembered for his 'energy and infectious enthusiasm'.

Tom Hutchinson, 52, was fatally injured when he crashed into rocks off Compton Bay on the Isle of Wight on the 7th of August.

He set-up rigging company, Future Fibres on the Isle of Wight, which went on to supply services for America's Cup contestants.

Paying tribute, Tom' father said: "The draw of the Island was always with him and he returned to his cliff-top cottage whenever he could to pursue his great love of kiteboarding in the Back of the Wight."

His colleagues said his death has come as "a deep shock".
