One man has died and another is seriously injured after two stabbings in Basingstoke which police believe may be connected.
Officers found a man with stab wounds at a house in Shooters Way after responding to a report of a disturbance at the address at 10.44pm on Saturday.
Ambulance crews also attended. The victim was taken to hospital but later died.
A formal identification of the deceased has not yet taken place.
Two 29-year-old men and a 36-year-old woman, all from Basingstoke, as well as a 16-year-old boy from Croydon have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Hampshire Police are also investigating a second incident that they believe could be related.
At 10.53pm, the Ambulance Service reported they had been called to a man with stab wounds in nearby Normanton Road, Basingstoke.
He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
DCI Dave Storey from Hampshire Constabulary’s Major Crime Unit said: “We would like to reassure the public that we are treating these incidents as potentially linked and targeted events.
“There is a police cordon in place at this time and officers are carrying out house to house enquiries. Officers will also be carrying out extra patrols in the area so if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak to them.
